Far better than the new iTunes widget they just introduced, way more features. Just add a way to rate songs for a 5-star rating here.

for whatever reason, this app doesnt support the newest Spotify OS X app. no more album artwork! hopefully an update will fix this soon.

This is a agreat little widget. unfortunately, it looks like iTunes 12 broke compatibility. The controls still work but no artwork or track info is displayed :(

This app is perfect, I search for one like that for so long, thank you very much! We can put this in our notification menu so it can be hide when we are working. The app is working very well at 100% with the new version of OSX (10.11.3)! Great job! Ah I just realize that the music stop all the time because of the app. So not so good after all..

This is very useful, and has a good design. I like this! But also I want “Now Playing” option; sharing on Twitter what I’m playing. For example, `Now Playing: "{name}" from "{album}" ({artist}) (If sharing format can be changed by user freely, it’s better.) I think itll make this app better for almost all users. I hope this app become more useful! 日本語(Japanese): とても便利で、デザインも好みです。 しかし、今聞いている曲をTwitterで共有できる”Now Playing”オプションがついていると良いなと思います。 たとえば、「Now Playing: "{曲名}" from “{アルバム名}" ({歌手名})」のように。 (フォーマットを自由に変えられたらより良いでしょう) ほぼすべてのユーザーにとって、より良いアプリとなるのではないかと思います。 より便利なアプリとなることを期待しています!

This is a really solid app. Fast and reliable. Offers everything I wanted in such an app. iTunes also has a player widget now, but I’m going to continue using this because of the volume controls and the album artwork can’t be beat. EDIT: I’m changing it to 4 stars after a few freezes with the widget. Also, audiobook support please!

Thanks a lot for the app! I’ve been looking for a simple way to quickly glimpse what’s currenlty playing. The app is doing it flawlessly!

Widget doesnt display in extension pane of System preferences

I’m not sure why Apple didn’t include an iTunes widget with Yosemite, but this makes up for it. It doesn’t look out of place!

There is no Album Art support for iTunes Radio which is a major FAIL. You are literally sitting there with a big empty space where the album art should go. Music streamed from iTunes in the Cloud does display album art. But if you Pause the music on a track and then subsquently click Play … the NEXT track starts to play instead of picking up where you left off in the current track. Everything seems to work as advertised with locally stored tracks.

I love this! It works automatically, and although the miniplayer is way too big, the notification center widget is awesome. Suggestions: make the album artwork smaller — it’s a widget, not Spotify itself — and add the ability to “add to playlist, etc.” from right there! Until Spotify releases it’s own widget with further connectivity, this app is the best. And it’s free. :D

Spotify version 1.0.1.1060.gc75ebdfd does not work with this anymore. Awesome app, hoping for a quick fix

I got it and it worked nicely but the album artwork is not displaying on the new version of spotify like it used to. Please fix this soon.

The album art for Spotify isn’t showing, so there’s just a blank album picture sitting there. If the issue can’t be fixed, maybe have the app not show any album cover that way it isn’t taking up space?

Album art from Spotify play back does not work on the Notification Center of Mac OS X 10.10.3

Praise: This app is wonderful, definitely something Spotify should have included in their app. Bugs: The app doesn’t display cover art for tracks on Spotify. And when using the scrubber in the NC, it scrubs through the entire playlist, not just the song that’s playing. This seems like it may be connected to the cover art issue. Maybe the app is viewing the whole playlist as a track rather than one song at a time. Requests: It would be nice if there was an option to only display the controls only, no cover art. Also, it would be a nice touch to be able to have a dark theme for the desktop version of the app. Maybe for an in-app purchase?

The App’s widget glitches out whenever you have both itunes and Spotify open. I closed spotify and it failed to switch to iTunes automatically. Though, taking the app off the notificaiton center and adding it on fixed the glitch with the widget.

No cover art for Spotify, and the song length is messed up.

There’s finally support for this app to show cover art from streaming services like Spotify which I use more heavily then iTunes. Props to the developer for taking their time in reading the reviews to figure out what the problem was fixing up the app.
